How to uninstall Microsoft Edge

Please note that Microsoft Edge is part of the Windows 10 core files, you should only perform this if you are 100% confident you will be able to restore your PC in the event something goes wrong.

  • Click here to download the zip file called uninstall_edge.zip
  • Once the file is downloaded click the up arrow (in Chrome)
  • Click to select show in folder
  • Right-click the .zip folder and select extract all
  • It's fine to extract with the default settings
  • Open the extracted folder uninstall_edge
  • Right-click unistall edge.cmd file and click run as administrator
  • Wait for the command window too run through the uninstall process (this could take around 5 minutes)
  • Restart your PC
