Can I use Microsoft edge in Windows 7?

Yes! If you are still firmly attached to your windows 7 machine you can download Edge for Windows 7. Using the link above you'll notice the download button will say "Download for Windows 7".

How to import favourites/bookmarks to Microsoft Edge?

Simply click on the 3 horizontal dots in the top right corner of Edge → go-to favourites → click import → select any other browser you would like to import from.

How to change Microsoft Edge Homepage?

Simply click on the 3 horizontal dots in the top right corner of Edge → go-to settings → from the left menu select on start-up → select open a specific page or pages → click the button add a new page → type in the URL you would like as your homepage.

Where are favourites/bookmarks stored in the new Microsoft Edge?

Microsoft Edge favourites are actually saved in a database file. the easiest way to backup and restore your favourites is to go to settings → favourites → manage favourites. From here in the bottom left corner you can see 'export favourites'

Use the export favourites link to save them as an html file. When it comes to setting up your new PC simply go to settings again and use the import favourites link.

But if you must know...
This is the default location of your favourites in the new Microsoft Edge version 80 and up:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local
\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default

On visiting this location the 2 files you will want to copy onto a new PC are bookmarks and favicons.
