.zip files are commonly used to install malicious software, you should only open a .zip that's been emailed to you from a trusted source.
Save the .zip file from Outlook to your downloads folder:
- Right-click the password protected .zip folder
- Click save as
- Select downloads
- Click save
Download and install 7zip:
- Visit https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
- If you are working on a Windows PC select the first download link
- (7-Zip for 32-bit Windows)
- Click the download
- Click install
- Click close
- Use the Windows search bar
- Type 7zip and click to open 7zip file manager
Extract password protected .zip folder:
With 7zip file manager open use the address bar to find your downloads folder:
- Select your .zip folder
- Click extract
- Type in or copy/paste the zip folder password
- Click OK
